Best Available Rates (BAR) Policy
Application of Best Available Rates
Best Available Rates will apply to International visitors, during special town events, peak periods, public holidays, and long weekends.
Understanding BAR Rates
BAR rates (best available rates): These are short-term rates that are determined by current occupancy levels. Unlike contracted rates, BAR rates are only valid for a limited period, typically ranging from 48 hours up to seven days. In order to provide the most cost-effective itinerary, we may include BAR rates in our quotation. Depending on the quoting or booking time frame, it may be necessary to re-quote BAR rates prior to confirming a booking.
Rate Availability and Eligibility
All rates are subject to availability. This means that the offering of rates is dependent on current capacity and may change without prior notice. Guests are encouraged to secure their bookings as early as possible to ensure access to the preferred rates.
Rates are applicable to SA Residents or SADC Residents only where specified. Certain rate offers are exclusively available to residents of South Africa (SA). It is important to check rate eligibility criteria before making a booking.
Proof of SA residency (SA ID, work permit or endorsed passport) may be required at the time of booking or upon check-in at the lodge. To verify eligibility for resident rates, documentation such as a SA identification card, valid work permit, or a passport endorsed for SA residency may be requested during the booking process or when checking in at the lodge.
