Application of Best Available Rates
Best Available Rates will apply during special town events, peak periods, public holidays, and long weekends.
Understanding BAR Rates
BAR rates (best available rates): These are short-term rates that are determined by current occupancy levels. Unlike contracted rates, BAR rates are only valid for a limited period, typically ranging from 48 hours up to seven days. In order to provide the most cost-effective itinerary, we may include BAR rates in our quotation. Depending on the quoting or booking time frame, it may be necessary to re-quote BAR rates prior to confirming a booking.
Rate Availability and Eligibility
All rates are subject to availability. This means that the offering of rates is dependent on current capacity and may change without prior notice. Guests are encouraged to secure their bookings as early as possible to ensure access to the preferred rates.
Rates are applicable to SA Residents or SADC Residents only where specified. Certain rate offers are exclusively available to residents of South Africa (SA) or Southern African Development Community (SADC) countries. It is important to check rate eligibility criteria before making a booking.
Proof of SADC residency (SADC ID, work permit or endorsed passport) may be required at the time of booking or upon check-in at the lodge. To verify eligibility for resident rates, documentation such as a SADC identification card, valid work permit, or a passport endorsed for SADC residency may be requested during the booking process or when checking in at the lodge.
Children can only be accommodated in a Family Twin Room or Executive Twin Room, if sharing with one or two adults.
Dinner, Bed and Breakfast rate - Children aged 12 years and younger (maximum two children per room) will be accommodated free of charge on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis including one game drive, if sharing with one or two adults. A park entrance fee will apply to children 12 years and younger.
Children aged 13-17 years will be accommodated free of charge on a room only basis and will be charged per child per day for breakfast, dinner, and one game drive, if sharing with one or two adults.
Children's Activity Program
Junior Rangers programme is available for all children aged 6-12 years. Activities are geared around natural resource protection, environmental education and responsible recreation offering a special opportunity to explore the Pilanesberg National Park. The Junior Rangers Program is available at a small additional cost to parents and usually takes 2 days to complete. On completion of the program, children will be including in a graduation ceremony and will be given a certificate and badges for activities completed.
